Double, take and drop
The doubling cube raises the stakes of a game. Each double doubles what the game is worth, and the player doubled either takes and plays on, or drops and loses the game at once.
This game against a bot shows a double that is right to take, and later a redouble that is right to drop.
- Open Play a bot from the Lobby.
- Choose Unlimited, a game played for what the cube makes it worth.
- An unlimited game starts when you and the bot have clicked Play.
- The cube starts in the middle at 1. Before you roll, you may double. It is too early for that, so roll.

- Make your 7 point with two checkers from your 13 point, hitting the bot's checker there, and bring your back checkers up to the 18 point.
- The bot enters and makes its 5 point.
- You are well ahead now, but the bot still has good chances. That is the time to double.

- Confirm the double.
- The bot takes, which is right here. The game is now worth 2, and the bot owns the cube; only it can double next. You roll at once.

- Hit the bot's checker on your 4 point.
- The bot enters hitting your checker, and makes two more points. You cannot double now, so your dice are rolled at once.
- Double sixes for the bot, hitting two of your checkers.
- You can enter only one checker, and the 6 is blocked, so the game makes this forced move for you.
- The game has turned, and the bot redoubles to 4.

- You can take and play on for 4, or drop and lose 2, what the game is worth now. Here dropping is right.

- Confirm the drop. The bot wins 2 points.
